Introduction to Blacksmithing
In this introductory workshop you will be making an outdoor fire poker while you learn essential blacksmithing techniques.
You will get to choose from a wide variety of custom options to make a truely one-of-a-kind product that you will be proud of.
This workshop is terrific for all levels of skill and interest. It is also a wonderful family, friends, and teambuilding event to do together.

Blacksmithing Level 2
In the Level 2 workshop you can choose your own pre-approved projects or select from a variety of projects on display to make, such as a coat hook, steak flipper, bottle opener, plant hanger and blacksmith tongs.
This workshop is suitable for those who have taken the introductory course or have equivalent skills.

We pick up, sharpen and return your bits within approximately 7 days. The man who swings the hammer

Stephen has had a passion for blacksmithing since he was young
which led to him going to Oklahoma for farrier/blacksmith training. Along with being an equine farrier, he created works of iron art and became an expert in revising and repairing antique cast iron from the UK which was then used in a variety of ways in modern Calgary homes. Then, as if he wasn't busy enough, he became the Lead Blacksmith for the Calgary CP Rail yards for 10 years. After his time with CP Rail drew to a close, he focused exclusively on creating custom iron railings and furniture for high end homes in Calgary.
Stephen now alternates his shop time between sharpening jackhammer bits and offering workshops for people who want to come and have fun at the forge, learning the basics of heating and shaping metal.
